"When it rains, it's sure to pour"

It seems that I have become all to familiar with this quote. It is actually from a Jason Mraz song, but absolutely relates to my life. I know this is taking a negative approach, but that is a hard rut to get out of. I have tested this theory of all bad things being thrown at you at once with my friends, and most seem to agree. I feel like when one bad thing happens, there is sure to be at least one more on top of that and so on. And I’m not talking about bad news like you got a C on your test, I am talking about a young man, a friend, dying or about your mom who is 50 years young finding out if she has breast cancer. These are things that a bad news.

Tomorrow I have to go to the funeral of someone my age, the second of this kind since October. When talking about this with my mother who may be fighting a battle of her own very soon, she is baffled at how many losses my friends and I have had to deal with in our lifetime. Why is it that my friends and are are losing people close to us and an unusual rate? Why do all bad things seem to come in waves?

I will tell you that it sure puts things into perspective.

I'm sorry for your loss. I can definitely identify with that quote as well. It seems lately that there are so many people, friends, family, family of friends, that are struggling with some kind of illness lately.
